Bryan Ashley Quality Control Coordinator (Deerfield Beach, Florida)

Position Location: Bryan Ashley Furniture Deerfield Beach, FL

 

Bryan Ashley Inc. manufactures furniture for the hospitality industry.  The role of the Quality Control Coordinator is to provide support to customers with product issues as well as assist in quality control improvement processes.  The position will consist of daily communication with customers and vendors for the evaluation of furniture quality and the analyzing of furniture issues.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Analyze furniture issues reported by customers and determine the appropriate corrective action for repair of hotel furniture
  • High level of email and phone communication to include collection of issue details and daily tracking and reporting of projects
  • Must be able to create visual reports and spreadsheets to be able to communicate data with customers and vendors to determine solutions
  • Ability to problem solve and provide multiple options for corrective measures
  • Search for local repair techs in our customer’s local area of business and determine the contractor's ability to perform the repairs
  • Analyze and negotiate repair contracts prior to submitting to management for approval
  • Assist with the early stages of furniture installations as well as assisting in the setup of furniture in model rooms and tradeshows.
  • Testing of different finishes and materials for compliance to industry standard benchmarks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Time management skills, organization, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports
  • Must have an energetic, pleasant and polite attitude when working with customers and coworkers
  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend especially for the inspection of furniture
  • General knowledge of hand tools and power tools for furniture inspections
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a high pace environment and prioritize tasks
  • Must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency
  • Travel to job sites may be required for inspections
  • One year of quality control or project management experience preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to travel by airplane when necessary
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle
  • Strong knowledge of email, word document, spreadsheet, and presentation software (ex. MS Office, Google Suite)
  • Strong communications skills and ability to provide detailed step-by-step instructions to contractors in verbal and written format
