OFS is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill an entry-level Front-End Web Developer position. The individual will be responsible for the front-end development of existing and new brand websites. This person will work closely with marketing and internal teams to deliver high-quality and effective solutions, creating meaningful and engaging web experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Improving and maintaining various OFS-related websites
  • Learning and adhering to coding standards
  • Collaborating on an Agile Scrum team to complete code sprints
  • Responding to helpdesk requests related to website issues
  • Working with marketing and design teams to achieve marketing goals and objectives
  • Writing functional requirement documents and specifications
  • Developing user-friendly, mobile-responsive web pages

 

Skills and Qualifications (Required):

  • Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to create complex, mobile-responsive web pages
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with users and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in secure coding and best coding practices

 

Skills and Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience with PHP and PHP frameworks such as Drupal, Symfony, or Laravel
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies
  • Proficiency with version control systems like Gitlab
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum team environment
  • UI/UX design experience
  • Knowledge of unit and functional testing
  • Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications adhere to them
