OFS is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager to join our team to enhance our internal communications and customer relations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a knack for developing effective communication strategies that align with our company’s values and objectives.

As the Corporate Communications Manager at OFS, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of internal communication strategies and processes. Your role will involve close collaboration with various departments to ensure a cohesive and transparent communication flow within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure effective information distribution and employee engagement across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead reputation management efforts, including monitoring public perception, responding to crises, and developing proactive strategies to maintain a positive company image.
  • Organize and oversee internal events, including town halls, employee recognition ceremonies, and other engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with HR to support internal change management communications and ensure employees are informed about company policies, initiatives, and updates.
  • Create content for internal newsletters, corporate announcements, and other communication mediums.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and tools, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees, facilitating open and transparent communication throughout the organization.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or public relations.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • General experience in crisis management and reputation management.
  • Shows exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal/external partners with varying marketing and communications knowledge.
  • Approachable, respectful, open, transparent, and easy to work with under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms and social media.
  • Demonstrates self-awareness, openness to feedback, and a commitment to continual improvement.
  • Comfortable working in both a strategic and tactical role, helping to plan, build, and share key marketing messages or key campaigns. 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc).
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Knowledge of email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Tool / Software Experience (not required, but a plus) 

  • Project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Monday
  • Experience with building out webpages via CMS systems such as Drupal
  • General knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT

Travel requirements:

  • 10-20%  (Showroom visits, trade shows, on-location photoshoots, etc.)

Location: 

This position is required to be located in Southern Indiana or within acceptable driving distance to our corporate headquarters in Huntingburg, IN. Remote employment for this position will not be considered.
