You dream it, we build it
In order to successfully achieve the desired look for the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, our dedicated Project Manager worked hand-in-hand with the designer, Looney & Associates, to ensure the final pieces would be on point. The vibrant blue color, along with the intricate, solid wood, geometrical applique featured on the credenza, make this a truly one of a kind creation.
The remaining furniture in the guestrooms were produced using oak veneers and solids with a natural ceruse finish. On the nightstands, a cheesecloth material was applied to the doors and then finished in a rich, cream color. The smoked glass top provides the needed protection that wood furnishings crave. For guests to have easy accessibility to power, small electrical outlets were mounted into the side of each nightstand. The king and double queen headboards are fully upholstered and showcase a decorative leather accent giving each one a hand-crafted design element. In the deluxe rooms, a contemporary-styled cylinder table with a stone top is paired with a large lamp providing the perfect spot to relax with your favorite book or beverage.
Not stopping in the guestrooms, we also created a stunning credenza for the public space area. Featuring a natural woven material as an accent on the sides and door panels and rich brushed brass metal on the hardware, this piece provides an upscale Floridian vibe.
Welcome to Orlando
As one of the most popular travel destinations in the United States, Orlando attracts millions of visitors each year. Those visitors come for the warm climate, world-famous theme parks, shopping centers, golf courses, nightlife, and the nearby beaches. Orlando is the fourth-largest city in Florida, and is the largest inland city in the state. As you may already know, the most critical event for Orlando’s booming economy happened in 1965 when Walt Disney announced his plan to build Disney World. Miami and Tampa were both considered for the park’s location, however, the abundance of hurricane’s affecting those cities was a major detractor.
One of Orlando’s biggest draws is the year-round sunny, mild weather. With an average temperature of 72 degrees, this warm weather city is also home to the second-largest convention complex in the United States allowing it to be one of the top three for hosting the most convention attendees (Chicago and Las Vegas are the other two).
For those wanting to see more of Florida, Orlando is the perfect base to do so. Whether you want a day by the beach on the Gulf Coast, a road trip to Miami, or maybe you want to experience the Kennedy Space Center on the east coast, or visit Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Orlando is the perfect destination location to see and do so much throughout the state of Florida.
Floridian flavor
No matter how far his travels have taken him – from being Oprah’s personal chef to opening four incredible restaurants across the country – Celebrity Chef Art Smith still calls Florida home. In 2016, the six generation native Floridian returned to open Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen at Disney Springs. The menu is inspired by the recipes handed down from his mother, Addie Mae, and aunts living in Jasper, Florida, a small rural town in the Northeast.
Homecomin’ pays homage to Florida’s rich agricultural heritage by highlighting local ingredients and farm-to-table cuisine. They serve southern favorites like Chef Art’s signature fried chicken, shrimp and grits, fried catfish, braised short ribs, and a legendary Shine Cake served with vanilla bean ice cream (they are famous for their moonshine). You can even build your own ‘flight’ of shine by choosing from three of their house-infused or branded spirits. The presentation includes a spiced pickle juice chaser and candied pecans.
